Applying the Hierarchy of Controls to Health and Safety
The challenges over the past year have required business owners to really look at their business operations and make risk management a critical part of their business. OSHA and CDC publish guidelines but each business owner must evaluate the hazards in their workplace and implement controls to protect their workers as well as their business. Once hazards are identified then mitigating that risk before work begins should be the goal of all business owners. A great way to achieve this is to utilize the hierarchy of hazard controls.
